Membership

The process to become a member of the Singing Saints Chorus is simple and should be a stress-free experience for you.  Below are typical descriptions of your first few visits to a Singing Saints rehearsal.

First Visit – The guest receives a temporary name tag, a guest questionnaire to complete and a guest folder of sheet music to be returned at the end of the rehearsal.  The guest will be guided through the rehearsal by a “Buddy”.

Second Visit – The guest receives a guest folder of sheet music to be returned at the end of the rehearsal.  The guest will again be asked to sing next to his “Buddy” for the rehearsal.

Third Visit – Again, the guest receives a guest folder of sheet music.  A formal voice placement with the Chorus Director may also take place.

Fourth Visit – The guest can request an application for membership and with help from their "Buddy" and the Membership Vice-President can schedule an audition with the Chorus Director and the Music & Performance Vice-President.  The guest completes his audition and is notified of the results.  If he passes, he will be asked to make proper payment of all dues and fees associated with membership.  The guest will be assigned a “Mentor” to help him through the orientation process and answer questions he may have.  He is now officially a member of the St Cloud Singing Saints Barbershop Chorus!  He will receive his membership card, new member kit and membership certificate as soon as it arrives from the Society office.
